3-D wood in-lay pictures. A mosaic of many pieces of natural wood that is individually, cut, sanded, shaped and glued onto a luan backing. Once completed 3-6 coats of plyurethane are applied. The raising and lowering of pieces create a 3-d effect. Various shades, grains and types of wood are inalyed to fit a pre-arranged design. No paint or stain are used. Our pictures are based on patterns by Judy Gale Roberts.
Each piece takes 4-6 weeks to complete.
